Chiang Mai is the nearest travel hub to Karen Eco Lodge. There are more than 20 flights daily from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. Thai Air Asia, Nok Air and Thai Lion Air fly from Don Mueang International Airport. Thai Smile flies from Suvarnabhumi International Airport. Thai Air Asia flies twice daily from Bangkok to Chiang Mai.
Transfer time from Chiang Mai International airport to Karen Eco Lodge is about 1 to 1.5 hours.
Another way of traveling from Bangkok to Chiang Mai is by train. If you like slow travel the day train is an option. It is a long ride and you will arrive at the next morning in Chiang Mai. In this case we recommend you to use overnight train before traveling to Karen Eco Lodge. There are several overnight trains from Bangkok to Chiang Mai that arrive in the early morning. Traveling on an overnight train in Thailand is still quite an experience.
